GuardlyDoes Guardly detect that my phone was stolen?
Guardly responds to failed screen-lock attempts. It does not automatically know whether the person holding the phone is a thief.
What if the phone is erased?
Evidence already delivered to your email or uploaded to Drive stays in your Google account unless you delete it there. Evidence stored only on the phone may be lost. Guardly cannot keep running after a factory reset removes it.
Does it need internet?
Email alerts and Google Drive uploads need a working connection. Locally saved evidence can be reviewed in History on the phone.
Does it record all the time?
No. Incident capture runs in response to configured protection events, according to the photo and video settings you enabled. You can also use the app’s test controls.
Do I need Google services?
Connect a Google account if you want Gmail alerts or Google Drive backup. Review and grant the permissions for each service you use.
Will it work on my phone?
Android versions, camera capabilities and manufacturer background restrictions vary. Test your chosen settings on your device before relying on them.
